What a fantastic couple of years it has been. After the success of our new “Blade” hull throughout the 2009/2010 season the 2010/2011 season saw even more phenomenal success with the high performance “Blade” showered in medals from major championships.
The 2011 Aussie’s score card includes:
-
4 out of 6 Boats in the Open Men’s A Grade Final
-
2 out of 3 Medals in Open Men’s A Boat Final
-
2 out of 3 Medals in Open Women’s Boat
-
2 out of 3 Medals in Reserve Grade Boat
-
3 out of 6 Boats in Reserve Grade Final
-
2 out of 3 Medals in U23 Men’s Final
-
Silver in U23 Women’s Final
Across the ditch in New Zealand, our fellow Kiwi DKG rowers also excelled:
-
Piha Beach - NZ National Champions - Open Boat, Short Course
-
Piha Beach - NZ National Champions - Open Boat, Long Course
-
Piha Beach - NZ National Champions - U23 Boat, Short Course
-
Piha Beach - NZ National Champions - U23 Boat, Long Course
-
Muriwai Beach - NZ National Champions - U21 Women, Long Course
-
Red Beach - NZ National Champions - U19 Men, Long Course
-
Muriwai Beach - 2nd, U21 Women Boat
-

-

As we head into the 2011/2012 season we are aiming even higher with the ‘internal’ of the Blade hull getting a makeover meaning it will be even more rower and sweep friendly without sacrificing any of our current speed or performance.
