Steve Davies

Steve Davies has been rowing and sweeping since he joined Dicky Beach in 1982 as a cadet life saver.As a rower Steve has won state titles in 3 divisions Open Boat, Reserve grade and Under 18s. Steve has also won medals at national level as a rower:- silver in Under 18’s Gold in Reserves and silver in the Open boat.

Steve started sweeping DKG Surfboats in 2004. Since then he has guided Alexandra Headland and Mooloolaba to 7 Australian finals, accruing 4 gold and 2 silver medals Steve is without a doubt a great sweep, coach and leader of young men.

Two of the young men Steve leads are Peter Manson and Jesse Palu with 2 gold and 2 silver medals each, their rowing career is well and truly on the road to achieving great thing.

This season Steve will have a new combination of juniors and the current Under 23 champions will be staying together.

Steve’s Alexandra Headland boat section will be a force to reckon with again this season.
